Kirby Face

This is our new ferret Kirby. Yesterday I was at the mall and after buying some really cute shoes I went into the pet store just to look. There was this couple that was giving up their ferret because he was a bitter. As a member of FURRY (ferret shelter) I couldn't let this lil one go to the human society. After a brief conversation with his 'owners' I got them to sign him over to the shelter.

I felt so bad because I had to put him in a shoe box to bring him home. He cried the who way, but I couldn't hold him because he would bit the tar out of my hand. So he stayed in the box. When I got the lil tike home, we got him all set up in a cage and I gave him a stuffed monkey to keep him company (pic of that will show up here in the next couple of days. I have to get a good one). After a good night sleep the little monster became a normal baby ferret. Play bites and kisses as well as beating up Gypsy and Tank.

We took him to the vet today after deciding to name him Kirby. I liked it because the video game character put everything in his mouth and so does the ferret. Also the lil alien in 'Chicken Little' was named Kirby and trust me... he was a lil monster when I brought him home.

Come to find out Kirby s between 5 and 6 weeks old. He still cries for his mommy, because truthfully he still needs to be with his mommy. He is also deaf which explains the biting. It would scare him when hands grabbed him without warning and the other people were afraid of the biting so, lil Kirby won. Biting isn't aloud in our house so after a few hard nips, he learned biting wasn't going to work. Well, I'm mommy now and lil Kirby will be happy!!!
